Double Dose (Jam version)
Dr. Alric, a brilliant but reckless alchemist, sought to unravel the mysteries of the soul. In his obsession, he created a powerful poison, one that could divide his essence into its purest forms. But the moment he drank it, his body split apart—his mind fractured into two beings: Verdok, cold and calculating, and Roskar, wild and impulsive.
Now, lost in the twisted halls of his own cursed castle, they must fight against time. The poison’s effects are growing stronger, pulling them further apart. Only by navigating the castle’s deadly traps, solving its cryptic puzzles, and retrieving the enchanted keys can they unlock their doors and reunite before it’s too late.
If they fail, the poison’s curse will become permanent, and Dr. Alric will be doomed to wander forever—two broken halves of a soul that will never be whole again.
This game was developed for a 1-week game jam, where I explored the concept of splitting a character into two separate entities with different controls. I'm currently working on a full version, expanding and refining the mechanics introduced here. In this extended version, you’ll experience more levels, puzzles, and unique challenges as you help Dr. Alric reunite his split self.
Controls:
- Player 1: AWSD
